Product Safety and Recall Policy

At Bass Paris, product safety is important. This Policy explains safety information for wooden toys, assembly, use, recalls, and product safety communications.

1. General Product Safety

Customers should read and follow all product instructions, warnings, assembly guides, care instructions, and safety information provided with the product.

Wooden toys should be used only for their intended play purpose unless the product page states otherwise. Do not modify, cut, drill, or misuse wooden toys in a way that compromises their safety.

2. Assembly and Adult Supervision

Some toys may require assembly by an adult. Customers are responsible for following assembly instructions carefully.

Improper assembly may cause instability, product damage, or personal injury.

Adult supervision is required where indicated. Toys with small parts, sharp edges, or functional hazards should be kept away from children who do not meet the age recommendation.

3. Choking Hazards and Small Parts

Certain wooden toys, including building blocks, puzzles, and toys with detachable parts, may present a choking hazard if small parts are swallowed or inhaled.

Please strictly follow all age warnings (e.g., "Not suitable for children under 36 months") and safety warnings displayed on the product, packaging, or product page.

Regularly inspect wooden toys for splinters, loose parts, or damage. Remove and safely dispose of any damaged toys or broken parts immediately. Do not allow children to play with damaged toys.

4. Children and Household Safety

Customers should keep small parts, hardware, packaging materials, plastic bags, and tools away from children and pets. Packaging materials should be disposed of safely after unpacking.

Keep batteries (if applicable) out of reach of children. Batteries should only be replaced by an adult. Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.

5. Product Care

Follow all care instructions provided with the product. Wooden toys should be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Avoid soaking in water, exposure to excessive moisture, direct heat, strong sunlight, harsh cleaning chemicals, or improper cleaning methods, as these may cause the wood to warp or crack.

6. Product Recalls and Safety Notices

If we become aware of a product recall, safety notice, or corrective action affecting a product sold by us, we may contact affected customers using the contact information provided at purchase.

We may also provide instructions regarding repair, replacement, refund, disposal, or other corrective action.

7. Reporting Safety Concerns

If you believe a product presents a safety risk, stop using the product and contact us immediately at info@bass-paris.com or +33 1 43 25 97 01.

Please include your order number, product name, description of the safety concern, photos or videos, and product labels, batch numbers, or identifying information if available.

8. EU Product Safety Information

For products sold to consumers in the European Union, applicable product safety, CE marking (including EN71 toy safety compliance), manufacturer, importer, responsible economic operator, warning, and traceability information should be provided on the product, packaging, accompanying documentation, product page, or upon request where required by applicable law.

If you have questions about EU product safety information for a product, contact us at info@bass-paris.com.
